The Association of Insurance Companies of Greece (EAEE), having as a priority the prevention of traffic accidents, has been undertaking initiatives and actions for the improvement of road safety in our country for years.
In this context, in recognition of the crucial role of the Traffic in road safety, it proceeded to donate breathalyzers to the Attica Traffic Directorate to strengthen its work.
The official delivery of the donation took place on Tuesday, October 31 at the EAEE offices, in the presence of the President of the Automobile Committee, Mr. Dimitrios Zorbaof the General Director of EAEE, mr. Elina Papaspyropoulouof the Brigadier General, Director of Attica Traffic, Mr. H. Papafilippou and executives of the Attica Traffic and EAEE.
During the handover ceremony of the breathalyzers, Mr. Dimitrios Zorbas emphasized: “The insurance industry wishes to actively contribute to the prevention of traffic accidents in our country and expects long-term cooperation with the Traffic Police to achieve the common goal. With today’s donation we wish to strengthen the work of the Traffic Police and we hope to soon see a reduction in traffic accidents due to drunk driving.”
The Brigadier General, Director of Attica Traffic, Mr. X. Papafilippou, after thanking EAEE for the donation of breathalyzers, handed over an honorary plaque to Mr. Zorbas and stated, among other things: “We welcome the initiative of the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece for the donation of breathalyzers to our Department, the which shows your appreciation for the work of Attica Traffic and which will help us to increase controls on the roads of Attica. We thank you very much for your commendable act and we are glad that we will have you as helpers in our work and in the future”.
